Hello~Welcome to My Blog^^. In this blog, I will be introducing delicious food in Penang and the dress code that I wore in this trip.

One Day Trip for FOOD + OOTD


Penang is known as a food heaven as it offers many kinds of food in different cuisine such as Indian, Malay, and Chinese which reflects the multicultural mix of the city. So, my friends and I had planned a trip to taste the goods of Penang!

The area that we chose for food hunt which is Georgetown. Follow me but don't go away. You will not regret to read this blog when you visit Georgetown, Penang.




1. Toh Soon Cafe

It is a small coffee shop which located at the back lane along Cambell Street. Homemade hainan coffee and toasted bread with half boiled egg are very famous here. We also tried out their nasi lemak which is also popular too.

2. Roti Canai Transfer Road 

Roti Canai is one of the landmark on Transfer Road. We ordered 2 roti canai telur, 3 roti canai kosong with 4 plates of chicken curry which is different from other roti canai stall. Chicken is a signature dish that has to order here.

3. Hameed 'Pata' Mee Sotong 

In english, we called it as fried squid noodles. It located at Padang Kota Lama food court. As it is very well known, we took quite a long time to queue for it. There are 2 options on the menu which is mee rebus or mee goreng.

4. Teochew Chendol

Penang Road has a very famous dessert which is Chendul. It is the combination of shaved ice, pandan flavoured palm flour noodles immersed in light coconut milk, sweetened by gula melaka and kidney beans. As some of my friends don't eat chendol, they ordered ice kacang which is also a popular dessert in Malaysia.

5. Ais Tingkap

Not only chendol and ais kacang, ais tingkap, a rose coloured drink with coconut flesh and basil seeds is also a well-known beverage in Penang. It located just 2 streets beside the Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendol.

6. Jetty Lok Lok

Lok lok is a must eat street food in Penang. Jetty Lok Lok is one of the must try place to enjoy it. There is 2 pots of boiling water and some dipping sauce such as chili sauce, sweet sauce, spicy peanut sauce and few more. The food will be placed on the multilevel rack with rows of skewered food on sticks and arranged neatly.

7. Two Buns

Here comes for the burger lover. If you ever like to have a cafe hunt, Two Buns is your best choice to go. Unfortunately, we did not order their burger as we are too full so we only ordered their signature french fries for a tip bites. Another special things in this cafe is they provide an Arcade machine for the customer to play.

8. Hoe Hock Tien Tang Yen

Finally, here is the last stop. This stall is situated at Jalan Magazine which is opposite Jen Hotel and First Avenue. There are 4 types of soup which are normal sugar, brown sugar, with or without ginger. It comes with two glutinous rice ball with fillings and few small ones without filling.
